Needs Assessment for Virtual Schools NACOL to provide Needs Assessments support to Virtual Schools The North American Council for Online Learning is pleased to announce a new service offering being made available to assist online programs. Known as SNAP (Schools and Students Needs Assessment Program), we are poised to help virtual school programs identify the types of course and services that their constituents desire. Knowing that virtual schools are often established to expand and enhance the academic programs currently being made available to students in traditional schools, it is imperative that virtual schools have a clear understanding of the services and courses that their customer base wishes for them to provide. Identifying the key courses and services that their customers want will help virtual school leaders make strategic decisions as to the course subjects and services that they provide. NACOL is prepared to provide this type of comprehensive needs assessment for your virtual school program, district, or state. Through an online survey that is provided to state, district, and school leaders, NACOL will collect and analyze this important information and produce a report that will provide virtual school leaders with the data they need to make wise decisions about the courses and services offered through their online program. NACOL staff will work with you to develop the proper needs assessment questions and to identify the target survey groups.
